Thank you for your assistance during this year. Having done all three UMAT preparation courses over the past two years, I am certain MedEntry is the best choice for prospective students.
The ten exams provide extensive practice and cover all necessary skills. The served as excellent and accurate simulation of the real UMAT.
For me personally, the best product was the interview guide, which broke down the interview into components and also provided advice on how to approach it. It was concise (yet detailed) and very, very clear, and many of the example questions popped up in my actual interviews (imagine my delight)! This product should be better advertised!
The e-mail support was extensive for any questions I posed, and this showed that the MedEntry team was genuinely interested in assisting me during my application for medicine.

Your course was the best thing that helped me get into medicine.
The practise exams were brilliant - the questions were exactly how they are in the UMAT and it meant that when I was doing the UMAT I just had to get into the right frame of mind while my other friends who had never seen anything like it before took ages before they even realised what the examiners were looking for.
In all honesty, I did the [name deleted] Course as well (the Dean at my school just booked me into everything because she knew how badly I wanted to get in to medicine). I definitely feel like your course was the one that helped me get in. When I finished the [name deleted] course I felt like I had wasted two days of my revision - I really learnt nothing from [name deleted]. Your course was definitely more to the point and without a doubt more useful!
I also liked the fact that your course was in small groups so it was easier to ask questions and make a fool of yourself. It also helped when you sent a feedback sheet after the course...I remember getting a paper and the box that said something like ‘you wouldn't get offered a place with this score’ was ticked. That was a big wake up call and it drove me to improve and practice more.
THANK YOU very much for all your help. Greatly appreciated! I've already told my friends who didn’t get in that they should definitely do your course next year.

I am just emailing to give the hugest thankyou for helping me to get into my top preference at Monash University. I finished year 12 in 2004 and received a UMAT score of 228, missing out on a Monash interview. Last year however, thanks to the Med Entry UMAT prep course, I received 277! Then, thanks to the practice face to face interview I was able to receive a place in Medicine CSP at Monash!
Both the LMS as well as the weekend course were absolutely fantastic. In my preparation for the UMAT this year I attended three UMAT prep courses; [name deleted], [name deleted] and Med Entry. I can say with absolute certainty that of all the courses I attended, Med Entry was clearly the superior. Often in the other courses, I found that much of the information was quite basic and I already knew it. The speakers presenting the courses did not seem nearly as informed as the Med Entry speakers. The information and study packs provided were not as professional and comprehensive as those provided in the Med Entry LMS site. In all, I was simply blown away by the Med Entry course! The speaker, Dr Boyapati was an informed, confident, but most importantly interesting speaker. The continued help that was provided through discussion forums and via email was wonderful too.
Again, I cannot express my thanks enough to the Med Entry team, and I will give anyone who asks (or doesn’t) my highest recommendation!

I've had the dream of medicine since i had a large operation back in grade six. I've been working towards this ever since. I'm not the brightest of blokes but I worked like a fiend to get into med…
And I did, at Monash University, it’s just around the corner from me.
I chose to use Med-Entry as my UMAT assistance, because of all the other UMAT courses I looked up, Med-Entry had the most professional web-page, as well as what I believed to be a very reasonable amount of products given to its students for the cost.
After researching both MedEntry and [name deleted], I decided on MedEntry, after reading that [deleted]. This set in my mind that [name deleted] was faking professionalism and Med-Entry was the way to go, since [deleted].
I could not have been more pleased with my choice to go with MedEntry. With the ENTER I achieved it shouldn't have been possible for me to do medicine anywhere, but somehow I got in, through my interview and UMAT scores. I know this would have been impossible without your services. Thank you so damn much.
I'll be ensuring everyone in my school that is now moving into year 12 and serious about the UMAT partakes in your UMAT course. I am the first person from my school to be accepted into Medicine for 6 years or so. I am going to increase our school's chances by recommending them to you.

I’d like to thank MedEntry for all of their assistance in getting into medicine this year.
When I applied in 2004, I used another unnamed prep course that I really didn’t feel taught me anything new. There were lectures but these seemed to cram as many people in as little time as possible and there was little opportunity to have concerns answered. I had the distinct feeling it was much more of a money-making enterprise. My final result was a score of 169 and percentiles of 217. Combined with my ENTER, this denied me access to every one of the 9 medical schools I had applied to.
In 2005 I did not sit the UMAT. In 2006, I came across the MedEntry site and at the last minute decided I should risk doing a prep course again. From the start, MedEntry were very helpful, and particularly understanding of my financial situation. Once I logged in, the LMS was easy to understand, and there were many great section by section resources for the UMAT. The drills helped build my confidence and the exams were particularly helpful as they very closely simulated the real UMAT. By imposing time limits on myself, I was able to see which were my areas of strength and weakness, and use the resources available to improve on those. The percentiles in particular helped me to realise my relative strengths and weaknesses.
The seminars were great- I felt as if the lecturer actually wanted me to learn, and didn’t want my money. The number of people per seminar was substantially smaller than I expected, and there was a lot more interaction with the lecturer and other students.
I sat the UMAT exam with full confidence that I was already ahead of the majority of thousands of people who would be sitting it that year. The 10 practice exams and multiple-puzzle generator had already taught my mind how to approach many of the problems I would face. My results reflected this, with scores of 74 (99 %ile), 57 (86 %ile) and 73 (99 %ile), i.e. 204 total score and 284 %ile. This enabled me to have interviews with the University of Newcastle, the University of New South Wales and the University of Western Sydney. I also received a CSP offer at the University of Tasmania.
In preparation for my interviews I decided to sit the one-on-one interview prep. Having read the resources already on the LMS website, I knew the quality of the interview prep was likely to be just as good as the UMAT prep, and I wanted somebody appropriate to be able to hear my answers in a mock interview and return his or her honest feedback. The interview was very professional and very much set me at ease about my responses, as well as providing some constructive criticism about things upon which to improve.
This January, in the first round UAC offers, I received my first preference of a CSP unbonded University of Newcastle Bachelor of Medicine place. Also, according to the key on the UAC form, I would have been offered CSP places to UNSW and UWS had I put them as higher preferences. I also had a CSP offer at the University of Tasmania.
I think a lot of people don’t realise that the UMAT is usually equal to or more important than the ENTER when applying for medicine. I do not believe I would have achieved my UMAT scores and thus interviews/offers for medicine last year without the help of MedEntry. I encourage all prospective med students to sign up to the MedEntry resources.

I have received offers to Medicine and Dentistry at University of Otago. I can't thank you enough for your great help!! I tried [name deleted] the year before and my UMAT results that year were so bad, and I thought these UMAT prep courses were really useless. But lucky for me, my dad asked me to try one more time, and thank god I chose MedEntry!! Not only the huge amount of substance, the quality was second to none.
Thank you again, now I am one step closer to becoming a surgeon!

I seriously think that the MedEntry course was a great investment! I also did [name deleted] and got [name deleted] material off a friend.
Overall, your material for S1/2 was very comprehensive, with way fewer errors than [name deleted] too! Your S3 sequence questions were BY FAR the best! I could tackle the questions in S3 of the UMAT, even though this year's S3 was harder than last year’s.
As for the interview guide, I found the information for the UNSW interview EXTREMELY helpful. They asked exactly the same questions.

I am pleased to announce that I received a CSP offer for UWA medicine.
I must say that I owe everything to MedEntry for getting me a place in medicine. The practice exams that were online were of utmost quality and resembled the UMAT almost perfectly. When I sat the UMAT, I was confident and that is what helped me most. The two day workshop was impressive and the trial test was a wonderful 'confidence builder'. Whenever I needed to contact MedEntry, I received prompt replies and an impeccable standard of service. Dr Boyapati's trial interview resembled UWA's interview closely and I have no hesitation in recommending MedEntry to anyone. I also did two other UMAT prep courses [names deleted] and they were such low quality that I asked for a refund. After purchasing the diamond package, I was pleased with the ‘UMAT tutor', which came to my help. After your course, I received offers from universities all over Australia. Once again, I would like to thank the MedEntry team and hope that such a standard of service remains untarnished for years to come. Furthermore, I also received a perfect score of 99.95 and a General Exhibition.

The academic year had ended and despite what seemed like a lifetime of preparation the year had not gone according to plan. Every aspiring med student would understand that there is nothing more tragic than having an acceptable ENTER and an inadequate UMAT score! I knew I wasn’t going to be a med student in the coming year but I was sure that I was going to defer my course and give it another shot.
It was in this time of stress and confusion that I came across MedEntry. I was very cynical of UMAT preparation courses, they had failed me before and this time round I was determined to avoid boisterous bullies who charged exorbitant prices for minimal result.
I was thrilled to discover that the MedEntry program and its products were created by med students. They had prepared for and done the UMAT as a stressed, nervous year 12 student, they had taken the other UMAT preparation courses and understood their failings; they’d had candid conversations with fellow students and understood what it was we were expecting from a prep course.
When I discovered that MedEntry was offering a package of ten practice papers for a price that I could afford with my Baker’s Delight salary I was elated! No other course had offered this and despite my mum’s best efforts to think up questions I was previously unable to recreate the exam experience. The type and level of difficulty of the questions were very similar to that of the questions in the actual UMAT I had undertaken in the previous year. The ability to do a test under properly timed conditions enabled me to alter my speed and improve on my accuracy. I entered the UMAT testing centre on the 28th confident that I was going to improve my UMAT score from the previous year, I left the centre positive that I was going to get an interview.
In late September I received a letter from Adelaide and a few days later I had purchased one of MedEntry’s interview guides. It was extremely reassuring to see both a list of mock questions and more importantly appropriate ways in which to respond. The guide was particularly effective in teaching me how to incorporate my own experiences and attributes into the conversation. Their clear and thoughtful responses to the ethical questions provided me with an invaluable set of guidelines.
On the 25th of January I enrolled for medicine at Monash University. My faith in MedEntry had paid dividends, with their list of well thought out products, their researched, realistic questions and definitive answers, I knew it had played an important role in helping me achieve a lifelong dream.

I wanted to THANK you so much for your tireless help over the past year, with your products, answering my endless emails and the informative and valuable course I attended in Sydney. When I received your materials I was so excited. THANK YOU all so much for the massive amount of time and effort you took for me. I can't tell you how excited Mum and I were as we looked through all your amazingly comprehensive notes, and tests.
Your products were great and covered everything I needed to thoroughly prepare for the UMAT in July. I was so encouraged as I saw my understanding and ability to answer the questions on your practice exams improve steadily over the months leading up to the UMAT. The practice exams were so similar to the actual UMAT in EVERY section (maybe even a little harder than the UMAT). When the day came to sit the UMAT, I felt ready and quietly confident.
Even though the wait for results was unbearable, when I received them, they were better than I could have dared hope for - 76, 98, 100! My UMAT results secured me interviews at every university I applied for, 5 in total, of which I received 3 offers to study medicine in the first round offers.
Thank you and the team for your excellent products and support. Truthfully, everyone who seriously wants to get into Medicine could not get better preparation than from you guys.
Thank you all so much for your help over the past year. I can't speak highly enough about MedEntry’s help getting me this far! Who would have thought, not in my wildest dreams! I am truly a MedEntry success story.
Thank you from a grateful and excited Med student!

I would like to thank the whole team at Medentry for your advice and assistance that has led to my recent success. I was fortunate enough to get four offers for medicine: James Cook University, University of New South Wales, University of Melbourne and a late round offer at University of Sydney!!!
I must say, your UMAT prep course was superb!!! The guides were very comprehensive, easy to understand and easy to apply!!! I especially liked your interview guide as it was very up-to-date and very helpful when it came to the real thing!!! Let me also praise your UMAT practise exams. They were quite challenging and closely resembled the real test!!!
OVERALL, I WAS ASTOUNDED BY THE QUALITY OF YOUR MATERIAL AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ALL THOSE LOOKING FOR A CAREER IN MEDICINE!!!
I really can't thank you enough!!!

Thanks almost entirely to your training I now have a place in medicine at the University of Queensland (my first preference being a Queenslander). Before I went to your workshop I thought the UMAT was a test where nobody could gain an advantage through training. How wrong I was!
Your program was excellent because it exposed me to the exact types of questions that I would face in all sections in the UMAT and gave valuable strategies to tackle the different questions. The LMS is an outstanding innovation which enabled me to properly prepare for the big day by doing practice exams whilst placing under time pressure. My percentiles in the UMAT were:
Section 1 - 92% Section 2 - 83% Section 3 - 94%
I give you entire credit for my Section 3 mark as this was by far my weakest area initially. These results got me interviews at Newcastle and Monash. Thanks to your interview guide I was able to impress the interviewers by telling them exactly what they wanted to hear and consequently I also received a first round offer from Monash University. I want to extend my deepest thanks for your help in getting me into the most competitive field of study in Australian Universities.
Keep up the good work!

Yesterday morning, I received a CSP offer to study medicine at Monash University, my first preference.
I have wanted to become a doctor since I was 10 years old, and MedEntry has helped make my dreams come true!
Your workshop and online materials prepared me wonderfully for the UMAT. I took extensive notes from Dr Boyapati's lessons at the workshop, and read them every night for a few months.
I completed every practice exam and drill I found on the LMS, and reviewed the solutions frequently.
By December, I received interviews from University of New South Wales, University of Western Sydney, University of Adelaide, Monash University and University of Newcastle. I was only required to attend three of these.
The practice Monash interview conducted was absolutely superb, and I made sure to follow all suggestions and tips during my own interview at Monash.
I cannot describe the joy and excitement I was feeling yesterday morning, and I owe so much of it to MedEntry.
I will recommend MedEntry to everyone who wants to study medicine; all the emails I sent to MedEntry were answered within three days, I got lovely calls before and after my interviews, and most importantly, they definitely know what they're doing.
Thank you so much for everything!

In 2006, my raw scores were 48, 40 and 51. My percentiles were a low 52, 0-20 and 54 for Sections 1, 2 and 3 respectively. In 2007 these went up to raw scores of 54, 56 and 65 giving me percentile scores of 73, 81, 96 and an overall percentile score of 89, which I was really happy with considering how below par my results were the first time I sat UMAT.
I truly believe that a huge thanks needs to be given to the MedEntry team for providing a course that helped me see such a huge improvement, so THANK YOU!!! :)
This year I am studying second year Dentistry at the University of Otago and I'm loving the course so much! I just wanted to say thank you and also that I was sad to only hear about MedEntry in 2006 after UMAT by which time it was too late. Since doing the course, I have recommended it to everyone I know competing for professional courses in Dunedin and Auckland but there are a lot of people that will never hear about it in that way and I hate the thought of people being in the situation of not knowing about the course like I was.
I can't thank you enough.

Thank you MedEntry for your great UMAT program. I was one of many people who sat the UMAT believing that you could not prepare or study for it, and inevitably I received less than satisfactory results. Being recommended the program from friends, I decided to do the MedEntry course before sitting the UMAT again the following year and the results were telling.
My scores for every section went up significantly because MedEntry was able to provide me with concise and detailed techniques in approaching all problems presented. The analytical skills taught are not only useful for UMAT, but has helped me in most exam situations. The section III guide was outstanding, and my weakness in my previous UMAT had become my strength.
Thank you for all your help MedEntry, I would strongly recommend this program to anyone preparing for the UMAT.

I just received my UMAT results today, and my percentile for Section 1 was 86, Section 2 was 66, and Section 3 was 98. I have to say that I have made a dramatic improvement from my 2004 UMAT results, as my percentiles for Section 1, 2 and 3 were 30, 49 and 58 respectively.
Despite having done a UMAT prep course in 2004, I was still unable to develop sufficient time management skills, and consequently my marks suffered. I would like to thank you for the excellent materials that you provided me this year and the informative 2 day workshop which gave me the confidence and preparation I needed to tackle the UMAT. I was able to finish Section 1, solely due to the time constraints I placed on myself whilst doing your practise exams.
The questions were actually very similar to the ones on the UMAT, and one of the shapes questions were identical to the one provided in your booklet. This really helped me with the timing of section 3 and gave me more of a chance to go back over questions I wasn't sure of. I would gladly recommend your course to anyone, as it was thanks to you that I was able to improve my scores.

I have received even more good news and would like to share it with you. I was offered a place in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide! In the first round I was offered a place in Pharmacy at Monash University which was my second choice. I was very happy with this, however I simply cannot describe the feeling I got when I was offered my first choice, Dentistry. It is clear that my UMAT score, and the interview advice which Dr Boyapati provided, pulled me through and above other applicants who had a higher TER than myself.
My ENTER score (VIC) was 94.70
My UMAT percentile was 90
Two other students aiming for dentistry at the University of Adelaide who achieved ENTER scores in the high 98s were infact ranked bellow me. As they had lower UMAT scores than mine, this clearly shows how important the UMAT is, and I shall be emphasising this to my school's careers counsellor. Many of my fellow school friends who also attended the MedEntry process achieved high UMAT scores and are doing Medicine or Dentistry. In fact, our school's top 5 UMAT scorers all attended MedEntry's program.
So once again, thank you for your help and advice.

The products supplied by your company have been a huge help in preparing me for the UMAT and have also given me more confidence for future interviews. Without this package I feel that I would have never achieved the score I did as I would have had no idea as to the format of the entire process. The advice supplied throughout the duration of my preparation and the follow - up that has been received has been outstanding and I have found it both encouraging and comforting.
As I have only been in Australia for a year after moving form the UK, I had little to no idea how things worked regarding entry into university and the process that had to be undertaken in order to complete the necessary steps in achieving my goals. My UMAT score, thanks to this package has helped me to get where I want to be. My overall percentile was 257. This was made up of
Section one: 90%, Section two: 97% and Section three: 70%. I really enjoyed my time preparing for this course mainly because of the easy to follow and understandable guides.
Thank you again for all your help.

I would have to say the practice test helped me a lot. It helped prepare one for the actual tests, as the questions were extremely similar. It was as if I'd seen them before. It helped me a lot with the shapes, as I had been extremely bad with these on the practice UMAT test.
The techniques really helped me answer the questions. With the interview, MedEntry was extremely helpful as well, as the questions were ones I had already endeavoured to answer in my practice interview. The exact same questions were asked. The practice interview truly prepared me, and dispelled nervousness.

I found the Med-Entry material very useful in my preparation for the UMAT. A lot of the stuff was quite similar to the questions that actually appeared on the UMAT and having practiced on the various types of questions provided by the Med-Entry team in the form of several practice exams made the actual UMAT a less daunting and more successful experience.
The Med-Entry team were very professional and well-presented during the workshop but also very approachable. I felt completely comfortable asking them about any questions I had in the lead-up to the UMAT, as they were always friendly and helpful. I think the experience of the Med-Entry team and the material provided maximised my performance in the UMAT and was a significant factor in me receiving places in medical schools all around Australia!

I just want to say a very big thankyou for all of your help over the past year. UMAT was my second attempt at the exam, however my first attempt with preparation from MedEntry - and without all the prep from the course, I definitely wouldn't have been as confident during the exam.
I ended up getting scores/percentiles of:
S1- 57/84
S2- 53/71
S3- 81/100
Thus I obtained interviews for Medicine at the University of Western Sydney and the University of Newcastle (a feat I never thought I could achieve) - and I'm very grateful for the interview preparation that you also provided. I'm really happy to say that I received two first round offers into health science courses of my choice at my two preferred Universities and I don't think I could have done it without your help! I've been offered a place in Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Tasmania, which is great especially since they were only taking a half intake this year!
Thanks again for all of your help!

I'd like to thank you for your fantastic services and outstanding products, which I couldn't have done without in preparation for the UMAT and my six subsequent interviews. As a result of your teaching and my efforts I have been able to gain several offers. I am now enrolled at UNSW which was my first choice and am extremely happy, having gained a UAI of 97.95 and combined raw UMAT score of 187.
I would recommend MedEntry to anyone interested in medicine or dentistry.

Thanks so much for the fantastic course you provide - I found it to be enormously useful preparation for the UMAT. The practice exams and the shapes quizzes were great preparation, and definitely helped me achieve my results of 98, 97 and 96 for the respective sections of the exam. As a result of your help I've received interviews at Monash, Adelaide and Newcastle!

I found that the UMAT preparation was very beneficial - but mainly for boosting one’s self confidence. I enjoyed going to the actual corse, as it was fascinating to see how other people though and came about deciding on their own answers. I personally feel that I gain the most out of you Prep Course in Section 3. I was surprised to find, that even though I had some difficulty with the type two shapes questions that in the actual exam they seemed to just jump out at me. A pleasant surprise! I think that the interview guide you provided will help people not just for interviews involving medicine but interviews in general. Its great the way you re-examine your own thought process.
Overall I found that the course was very beneficial, and I would have no hesitation in suggesting it to others. The most useful aspects I found were the section three practice questions, and the ability to do the test in a timed environment. Being able to attend the workshop highlighted different approaches to answering questions, and the interview guide is defiantly a tool everyone should have.

I’ve been really happy with all the services that MedEntry have provided. I was particularly impressed with the way the MedEntry team have been happy to answer any questions so punctually in such a friendly manner. The UMAT is a very hard examination and the LMS program prepares you very well. The shape drills enable you to improve in Section 3 immensely and I found having access to the answers for the exams you have previously attempted really helpful because you can look back at the questions you found difficult. The MedEntry workshop had a friendly atmosphere and was very informative. The practise examination gives you a good indication of what it will be like sitting the UMAT. I would highly recommend MedEntry as they helped me obtain the UMAT results I’m really happy with.
Thank you MedEntry and all the best for everyone sitting the UMAT in the future.

I am happy to tell you that I have been offered to study medicine at Auckland University of Melbourne and University of Tasmania. I am very thankful to MedEntry in all their support. Everything from UMAT preparation to Interview feedback, I have found MedEntry to be amazingly useful in getting me through.
Regarding the interview feedback session, my interviewer was really helpful in identifying my weak points. She told me exactly what I was doing wrong, how I could fix it and gave me invaluable tips I could use in my interview. She also told me of my strong points and how I could improve them even further which I also found very useful. I found going through each question and my answer to it was really helpful, especially in dealing with the details of my answers. What was covered in the feedback session I believe was invaluable. I was told many things I hadn't even considered and I owe much of my Auckland interview success to MedEntry. I am greatly thankful for her help and commend MedEntry on their effort at helping students.

I received an offer for my first preference of Physiotherapy at Monash University.
I finished year 12 in 2002 with an enter or 82.05. I wanted to study Physiotherapy, but didn’t have the score and thought I never would, so I tried architecture which I hated.
The following year I decided that one day I would be a Physio so started to take the steps to get there. I did one year of exercise science at VU, and applied for physio everywhere and missed out.
I was going to defer, but decided to have one last shot. I did 2nd year OT, with a D average and MedEntry platinum package, which I studied and studied and studied, and had the weekend school with MedEntry which was great.
I got a UMAT that was enough for an interview which I used MedEntry to fully prepare. I aced the interview and I offered them a list of my references at the end and one said to me 'We cannot accept any documents but don’t worry, your presence here has been more than enough.'
I was quietly confident I would get a place, and I did, CSP! I know its not med, but it was my dream and I would have NEVER been able to do it without MedEntry. With practice I went from getting 20% on shapes to getting 80% in my percentile which was a big achievement. Thanks MedEntry!!!

I am very happy that the year of hard work with the UMAT and VCE has all paid off and I received an offer to study Dental Science at Melbourne Uni.
I'd like to say a big thank you to you. I know that I was able to maximize my UMAT score thanks to the training sessions and online practice exams. I gained a lot of knowledge to help me with the test, and many of the strategies you taught actually helped me in my other studies and, I believe, will come in handy for the rest of my life. I went to the training knowing very little about the UMAT and naively thinking I would be fine without it, but came out with a lot more knowledge and being truly grateful I attended.
I was very pleased with my UMAT results. I received :- Section 1: 77(%99) Section 2: 63(%96) Section 3: 62(%93), with an overall percentile of 99.
My UMAT score earned me many interviews all over the country. I was offered Dental interviews at Griffith University, University of Adelaide and University of Western Australia. I attended the Griffith and Adelaide interviews. I was also offered Medicine interviews at UNSW, University of Western Sydney, University of Newcastle, Monash University, University of Adelaide and University of Western Australia. I attended the Monash and UNSW
interviews.
The start of this year has been very exciting as I received offers to study Medicine at UNSW and The University of Tasmania. I also received offers to study dentistry at Griffith and Melbourne (all CSP).
As Dental Science at Melbourne Uni was my first preference I was absolutely ecstatic. I'm sure I was accepted in the UMAT stream, so I once again thank you for the brilliant preparation you provided.

I am not just saying it...but I really do owe a HELL OF A LOT to you guys at MedEntry...actually I didn’t even know what the UMAT was at the start of 2007...but after attending the workshop and learning all about it online...I was so prepared for the test! MedEntry was an awesome course which offered thorough and relevant practice to us all.
However, through the entire experience, and in receiving my actual UMAT results, I realised it wasn't merely about trying i.e. spending mindless hours on UMAT practice. All along, achieving goals is truly about transforming my thinking, coupled with 100% effort. If we are not determined to change our hearts and minds on a continual basis, we will be stuck in the same place. Much like a car that runs on fuel alone, without renovating itself along the journey. We may reach the same end-point in life, but we must always be thinking about how we can think more quickly and efficiently, love with greater freedom and humility, and treasure the tangible and intangible relationships we have within us and with others in life.
Anyways, I thought I should let you know: I received an offer into Auckland University Medical school, which is fantastic! My childhood dream has come true!

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to MedEntry for the outstanding products and services offered. As well as completing the MedEntry program I purchased the [name deleted] program. There was simply no comparison. MedEntry’s products were up to date, relevant, focussed and mirrored the UMAT exactly! The other course was simply a waste of money and more importantly, time.
To all potential UMAT test-takers: do not underestimate the importance of UMAT. A couple of hundred dollars is nothing when you consider what the MedEntry course provides. I managed to get 296 out of 300 in my UMAT. Section A 100, Section B 98, Section C 98.
I must say that the MedEntry workshop was a great help in preparing for the UMAT. It was really beneficial to familiarise yourself with the types of questions on the UMAT, and work out a method to tackle the questions you find the toughest. The workshop helped in this aspect immensely. The feedback from the practice test done in the workshop is also really useful, as it accurately determines what you need to work on.
The practice exams were an excellent indication of the types of questions on the actual UMAT and ensured that there were very few surprises. I found that they were slightly harder than the real UMAT, which really helps provide confidence when you're reading the questions in the exam hall. Being slightly harder, the practice exams also allow you to work out the right time management strategy, which is essential. This results in a candidate being able to finish all the questions in the real UMAT, which is a huge bonus.
MedEntry is an absolute help!

As a country student I had only ever read about the UMAT in VTAC guides and largely underestimated its importance. When I was put in contact with MedEntry I quickly learned what I was facing and realized I needed a lot of help. The actual experience of sitting a practice UMAT at the MedEntry workshop, as well as the many practice exams, gave me a much greater understanding of what was up ahead. On the day, the three hours seemed much less of a hurdle than what I had been expecting. I even found that some of the questions on the UMAT were very similar to those I had practiced with.
Because of the practice I had, I managed a score of 286 overall (and got 100% on section 2, which had initially been my worst). But I still had the huge task of the interviews so I again looked to MedEntry for help. Their interview guide prepared me for the questions I was to be asked and eventually helped me to gain a place in Monash Uni’s medical course, something I never thought was possible!
I would like to give you all an enormous thank you; it’s a dream come true!!!

I am happy to report that I have achieved results far beyond my expectations, with percentiles 99,99, and 96 and sections 1,2, and 3 respectively.
I was first impressed by the quality of your support. All of my questions were dealt with promptly, efficiently, and in a friendly manner. I signed up with Medentry with some concerns about the ease with which I could access my the learning resources as a remote user, but your support via email soon put these concerns to rest.
I found useful advice in your section-by-section guides, especially those for sections two and three. The guides were clear, and offered practical advice that I knew could readily put to use in the UMAT test.
I found the practice questions invaluable. Having talked to past UMAT-takers, I knew that time constraints presented one of the biggest challenges in the test. The medentry practice tests allowed me to gain experience and confidence in these conditions, and to develop skills for dealing with large volumes of information in a limited time. After doing the UMAT I also realised that the style and matter of the practice questions were a realistic representation of the real thing.
Hoping that you will keep up the good work!

I am writing to give my sincere thanks for the MedEntry Excellence Prize awarded to me. I am delighted to have done quite well in the UMAT, and I feel that I owe this, to a large extent, to the MedEntry Team and the courses and resources they endeavour to provide.
ACER described the UMAT in the 2005 Information Booklet as a ‘battery of three tests’. Although, no doubt, the word ‘battery’‚ was used in this context with the intended meaning of ‘an array of similar things’, it rather reminded me of an entirely different denotation one that has little to do with related assortments, and much to do with beating and pounding.
Perhaps others will share my sentiment that at first fleeting glance, the UMAT appears as insurmountable and remote as the world’s highest peak, scaled only by the select few blessed with rare brilliance, and impregnable to the ordinary person who may find themselves returning from the expedition sorely bruised. However, as I have discovered, this analogy is indeed a false one. The successful mountain climber is one with dedication, determination, and a positive attitude, and one armed with the knowledge and confidence to succeed; something which the MedEntry Team provides for their students to their fullest capacity.
In the last respect, MedEntry’s Online Learning Management System has been a great source of help for me. The notes provided were comprehensive and succinct. They covered in detail topics that I had anticipated, but more importantly that which I had not. There is nothing as terrifying as, under the stress of real exam conditions, being faced with something completely foreign to you.
The practice exams were also a great asset. In terms of familiarisation with test and question structure, identifying and improving upon weaknesses and learning time management skills, these exams were invaluable. It certainly allowed me to face the real UMAT with a lot more self-belief and coolness than I would have without practice. At first, the difficulty of the practice exams helped to put the real UMAT in perspective and encouraged me to work harder. Later on, as I adapted more to the exams, the practice helped build upon my confidence and fine-tune my preparation.

Following your advice in June last year I applied to medical schools all over Australia rather than just in Victoria and have been lucky enough to receive offers to Tasmania, Adelaide, Monash and Melbourne. But though I achieved 99.95, my aggregate was relatively low for such a score and so I was not hopeful of receiving one of the three much sought after scholarships to Melbourne. Therefore, it was much to my surprise last week when Melbourne contacted me offering me the third National Medicine Scholarship, which they don't award until after the IB results come out, on account of my high UMAT score under the way Melbourne treats it.
I wholeheartedly believe that my UMAT score wouldn't have been anywhere near as high as it was if I hadn't participated in the MedEntry program and so wish to thank you for the amazing opportunity your program has given me.

Thank you for your support in the UMAT course. It was very useful and gave Darryn lots of confidence before he sat for his UMAT examination. Darryn has offered a place to study Medicine in U.W.A. Thanks once again for your support and encouragement.

Jodie Ralph
Successful MedEntry Student, and parent
I am delighted to offer positive feedback to Medentry.
When I finally got onto the UAC site at about 9:30pm lat night I was amazed to see that I had received my first preference - Medicine at Newcastle! I am going to be a doctor! The MedEntry course was my primary preparation for both the UMAT and the interviews, and it definitely was worth it. Being a pregnant at home mum with 2 kids (the third arrived two weeks after the UMAT) I was not able to attend the two day sessions, so I bought the distance learning option. It worked perfectly for someone in my situation.
Thank you Medentry. I have recommended you on the [name deleted] forum, so hope other people who take the effort to prepare, do well.

The students found the program very worthwhile, beneficial and affordable. It’s fantastic that it could be held in Mildura instead of us having to travel to Melbourne.
