MedEntry UMAT Excellence Scholarships
Congratulations to our winners of the 2007 MedEntry
UMAT Excellence Prize. The following three students gained outstanding
scores in all three sections of the UMAT and were awarded monetary
prizes to further their studies.
First prize: James Pangilinan (Lidcombe, NSW)
Second prize: Benjamin Wu (Sunnybank Hills, QLD)
Third prize: James Shand (Auckland, NZ)
The 2006 UMAT Scholarship winners were Thomas O'Donnell (Melbourne, Vic), Richard Liu (Bexley, NSW) and Devarshi Bhattacharyya (Mt Eden, NZ). The 2005 UMAT Scholarship winners were Steven Forbes (Brisbane, Qld), Cindy Wei (Sydney, NSW) and Muhammad Mowjood (Nelson, NZ). The 2004 UMAT Scholarship winners were John Lau
(Sydney, NSW), Suran Wickramaarachchi (Melbourne, Vic) and Gerard
Dalgleish (Ararat, Vic).

RWAV Rural UMAT Scholarships
MedEntry is pleased to be able

Victorian students from rural and remote areas, courtesy of RWAV
(the Rural Workforce Agency
of Victoria).

The criteria for the rural UMAT
award are:
- The rurality / remoteness of your domicile
- Your interest in pursuing a medical degree
- Your commitment to return to a rural / remote
area to practice medicine
after graduation
