MedEntry has a commitment to helping those from disadvantaged and under-serviced backgrounds (such as those of low socio-economic status and those from rural or remote areas) to achieve their goals. We have provided over $1,200,000 of scholarships and discounts to such students over the years.

MedEntry offers various discounts: 

• Group discount. Simply apply as a group of two or more, and all group members will receive a discount of over 30%!
• Teacher/Principal/Lecturer/Professor Nominated Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students who are nominated by their current or past teacher, careers counsellor, principal, lecturer or professor. Discount of over 60%. You will only pay $295 for the Platinum package.
• MedEntry Academic scholarship. This scholarship is available to those who demonstrate outstanding statewide, nationwide or international achievement in academic or intellectual endeavours. Discount of over 60%. You will only pay $295 for the Platinum package.
• Last year's student discounts. This discount applies to students who enrolled in a MedEntry package in the previous year.
• Health Professional Nominated Scholarship. This scholarship is available to those who are recommended by a health professional (Doctor, Pharmacist, Dentist, Physiotherapist, Nurse, Dietitian, Optometrist etc). Please note that the person recommending cannot be your relative. Scan and email the letter and you will only pay $295 for the Platinum package (over 60% off).
• Discounts for students who attend our Courses in rural towns and smaller cities such as Darwin, Launceston, Newcastle, Wollongong, Dubbo, Geelong, Bendigo, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Mackay, Armidale, Sale, Mildura, Alice Springs, Whyalla, Mount Gambier, Wellington and Christchurch. These students obtain the extra 5 practice exams (worth $150) free when available.

If you are a student who has done MedEntry's Online (Season Pass), Platinum or Diamond Package in the previous year, you will be able to purchase the current year's Online, Platinum or Diamond Package at a discounted rate.

To obtain your Last Year's Student Discount:

• Log into the MedEntry website using the same login information that was used to purchase your previous package
• Click on Shop -> View Available Products
• Choose a package and click proceed
• The discount will automatically be applied to your package cost in your shopping cart
• Proceed through the checkout process

Note: Group Packages are not eligible for this additional discount.

If you wish to apply for this Scholarship, please ask your current or past Teacher, Careers Counsellor, Principal, Lecturer or Professor to write to MedEntry with reasons why you should be awarded the scholarship. This must be on a school/university letterhead. The letter must be addressed to the Scholarships Officer at MedEntry.

The reasons why you should be awarded the scholarship may include the following:

• Academic scholarships, awards or achievements
• Co-curricular excellence (eg. leadership, public speaking)
• Any other awards/achievements (eg. Science Olympiads, High Distinctions in ICAS)

If you are to be awarded a scholarship, MedEntry will provide you with a unique discount code, which can be used on the website to access the package at a discounted rate of only $295 (60% off).

This scolarship is available only for students who demonstrate outstanding Statewide, Nationwide or International achievement in academic or intellectual endeavours.

Examples include medals in Science Olympiads, ICAS high distinctions/medals, university medals, Premier's Awards, HSC All Round Achievers Awards, perfect (or near-perfect) ATAR.

If you wish to apply for this scholarship, please ask a health professional (he/she cannot be your relative) to write to MedEntry with the reasons why you should be awarded the scholarship. The letter must be addressed to "The Scholarships Officer at MedEntry" and must clearly identify the AHPRA number of the nominator. 

The letter should state the reasons why you should be awarded the scholarship, for example:

• Academic achievements 
• Participation in community/voluntary/co-curricular activities
• Motivation to study medicine 
• Financial difficulties

MedEntry recognises that students from rural and remote areas face special difficulties in accessing services.

To help redress this, MedEntry offers workshops in Mildura, Whyalla, Mount Gambier, Toowoomba, Sale, Armidale, Dubbo, Geelong, Bendigo, Cairns, Townsville, Darwin, Launceston, Newcastle, Wollongong, Dubbo, Rockhampton, Mackay, Armadale, Alice Springs, Wellington and Christchurch.

These students also obtain the extra 5 practice exams (worth $150) free! Please note that this offer is only available to students who attend the workshops in the cities above, not just by virtue of living in those cities; for example, someone who lives in Toowoomba but attends the course in Brisbane would not be eligible. To access these 5 extra practice exams, please see the lecturer during the workshop.

If there is sufficient demand, MedEntry will run workshops in other rural, remote and regional areas. Please contact us with your needs.

The past student discount is applied automatically upon checkout. If it does not apply, there may be several reasons: 

• You have to be a MedEntry student in the immediate preceding year, not 2 or 3 years before.
• If you do not use the same email address as last year, the discount will not be automatically applied.
• You have to be logged in first then go to the shop (if you go to the shop and then login, you won’t see the discount).
• If you have enrolled in short access Online Package passes, rather than the Online Package Season Pass, you will not be eligible for the discount.
