What is the UCAT Consortium?

From 2019, for university entry in 2020, the UMAT Consortium of universities have made the decision to replace the UMAT test previously used by the consortium member universities, with the UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test). To reflect this change they will be known as the UCAT ANZ Consortium and will oversee the delivery of the new test in Australia and New Zealand.

The UCAT ANZ Consortium is part of a wider collaboration with a similar group of leading UK universities (currently known internationally in the field of medical and dental admissions as the UKCAT Consortium). The UKCAT Consortium is a charity and limited company managed by a Consortium of UK Universities which require the test for entry to their medical/dental/clinical sciences courses and programmes.
