UCAT ANZ 2020 testing takes place between 1 July and 31 July 2020. You must complete a two-step process using the Pearson VUE online registration system to register and then book a test.
You are strongly recommended to register and sit your test at your earliest convenience to ensure places are available at your nearest UCAT test centre. Each year there are candidates who book a late test and encounter problems when they fall ill or experience other issues preventing them from taking that UCAT testing slot. This can be avoided by booking to take the test earlier in the month.
It is also worth noting that school holidays in Australia and university breaks in New Zealand occur in the first half of July. We recommend that you use these times to sit the UCAT to give greater flexibility and to reduce stress.
If you are named on a current Australian Health Care Card / Pensioner Concession Card you are eligible for the Concession Scheme and should apply for the concession fee before booking your UCAT test. The concession fee is not available to candidates sitting the test outside Australia.
You must create an online account with Pearson VUE before you can book your UCAT test. You need to register for UCAT personally – this cannot be done by a school/college. You should only create one account as multiple accounts are not permitted.
You must register with your legal name exactly as it appears on the photo identification you will present at the UCAT testing centre. If there is not an exact match, you will not be able to take your test and you will not be reimbursed for any fees paid.

After registering your UCAT account you will receive an email confirming your account has been created. The email will also contain the username you created. You can then log-in to your Pearson VUE account to book your UCAT test. The UCAT test fee is payable at the time of booking by major credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Visa debit card).
The final date to book your UCAT test is 11.59pm AEST on 18 May 2020 (late booking deadline). No further bookings will be accepted after this deadline under any circumstances and no correspondence will be entered into regarding these matters. Late UCAT bookings incur an additional late fee of AUD $75.
UCAT ANZ is delivered in Pearson VUE test centres in Australia and New Zealand, and you can choose your UCAT testing centre. Some overseas test centres are available and additional overseas test locations can be requested. If you are not fit to take your test due to illness or other personal circumstances you must reschedule your UCAT test to a later date, even if this means losing the test fee. If you choose to take the UCAT test, such issues will not be accepted as Mitigating Circumstances. You cannot reschedule a test by email.
Regional test centres have limited test dates and you may have to travel to another location to sit the test if appointments are not available at your regional test centre.

Rescheduling after the Final Booking Deadline (11:59pm AEST on 18 May)
After the final booking deadline, you need to phone Pearson VUE Customer Services to reschedule your test. You may reschedule up to 24 hours before your UCAT appointment time.
You still need to give the appropriate amount of notice even though the Pearson VUE Customer Services helpline is only available Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 (local time). For example, if your appointment is on a Monday, in order to reschedule you will need to contact Pearson VUE Customer Services before 6pm (local time) on the preceding Friday.
If you miss this deadline you will need to pay the UCAT test fee again to reschedule your test appointment (subject to availability). Note that the availability of test appointments and times will be very limited in the last week of UCAT testing. In some circumstances you may need to travel to another location if there are no available appointments at your preferred test location.

The registration fee is payable online at the time of booking by major credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Visa debit card). You can also check with your local bank or post shop for prepaid credit card options.

You are assigned a UCAT ANZ ID number when you register an account with Pearson VUE. The UCAT ANZ ID number is in the format ANZ + 8 digits (ANZ12345678) and is found at the top left of the Dashboard of your Pearson VUE account. This ID number is given in your account and should be used in all correspondence regarding the UCAT test, and in university applications.
